Background
Kara has worked in broadcasting both behind and in front of the camera for 20 years in England and the United States. Since rediscovering her love for poker in 2005, Kara has hosted nearly all of the best and most loved poker TV shows. She has worked with the World Series of Poker as sideline reporter (and now Break Desk Anchor) on ESPN and poker central since 2009 and she is currently the global brand ambassador for 888poker.
Kara has hosted charity poker events for high profile clients, run personal marketing and on-camera skills classes for poker ambassadors, hosted awards shows in Europe and the USA, was the commissioner for the Global Poker League and although she’s never been a full-time poker pro, has nearly $700,000 in live tournament winnings.
Originally from Canada, she’s lived in 5 different countries as a poker vagabond and is now based in Italy with her husband and daughter.
